This original, abstract expressionist painting has rather intriguing mark making with a vibrant palette making it a perfect statement piece.

Drawing on inspiration from a recent trip to The Whitsundays, The Great Barrier Reef and North Queensland, 'course à la ligne' expresses my inner feelings of yachts racing for the line in an ocean race. Sailing on a sea of blue, in a wind driven racing machine, for pleasure or competition.

Yachting is an exhilarating sport, there's thrills, excitement and elation. But there can be peaceful moments when you feel at one with nature.

Sailing is a magical feeling. The wind fills our boat with life. We are carried by a force we cannot see but feel in the slight list of the hull, the tension in the sheets and the gentle pull on the rudder as we glide along.

Every painting is varnished with professional quality artists varnish which gives a protective surface and exquisite sheen that strengthens the colour depth.

This painting is stretched on deep edged 3.5mm traditional kiln dried wooden stretcher bars that sit perfectly on your wall.
The edges are neatly finished, staple free and painted a rich Midnight Blue to complement this painting.
