Watching these magnificent yachts fly on their foils in the America’s Cup final races on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.

Italian challenger Luna Rossa takes advantage of some clean wind to sit high on her foils and outpace the defender Team New Zealand.

It’s a while since I’ve sailed but I love painting the action as I see it in an expressionist style.
 
This original expressionist painting has rather intriguing mark making with a vibrant palette making it a perfect nautical statement piece even for the non yachty.
